i! I am Luciana, but you can call me Lu.
With over ten years of work experience in international development and the private sector, I went from the import field to project coordination specializing in the e-Learning (Instructional Design) world.
I aim to facilitate ideas and knowledge in online content, capacity-building programs, and execute projects that add value to people. My experience comprises online, onsite, and blended training.
My professional journey has always been guided by my wish to make the world a better place. My passion is to help others to have an opportunity to show their potential.
Connecting Knowledge with People

International & Institutional Projects
In 2022 I started working at ICF International as a Senior Learning Specialist with The Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program supporting the capacity strengthening team. In 2021, I worked with WEConnect International, a global network connecting women-owned businesses helping in the production of the online training for WEConnect Academy.
From 2016 through 2020, I worked in the Knowledge, Innovation, and Communication Sector (KIC) at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with the production of Massive Online Courses (MOOCs), Small Private Online Courses (SPOCs), face-to-face and blended training in Washington D.C., United States.
From 2012 through 2016, I served as a project manager at the Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHEE) at the Organization of American States (OAS). In that role, I managed the OAS projects on the internationalization of universities, organizing and executing seminars and agreements between European and Latin American educational institutions with the OAS. In Brazil, I worked in maritime import and the Chamber of Commerce of Spain.

My bachelor’s degree is in International Affairs from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), located in São Paulo, Brazil. My academic interest was in business, migration, and refugee resettlement policies during my studies.
Oh! I almost forgot to tell you, I am Brazilian. I have earned two master’s degrees, one in Global Affairs & Management from Thunderbird, in the United States, and one in Education and ICT (e-learning) with a concentration on Instructional Design from Open University of Catalonia (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, UOC in Spanish), located in Spain. That means I can work in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, which is my native language.
